1) Remember to bring a carrier with you, when you come for your little one. It is good to put a towel in the bottom for the kitten, so that it will not slide around and become frightened.
2) It is best to use the same litter at first, so that there will be no accidents. I use Tidy cat clumping litter.
3) Your kitten is eating Royal Canin kitten chow. It is best to start your kitten on this and if you choose to change, mix the new food in gradually. You must be sure the new food is high in protein. Although I strongly suggest you continue feeding your kitten Royal Canin. Your kitten also eats raw meat at least once a day. I NEVER use canned food.
4) The kittens will be trained to use a scratching post. Your kitten will not bother your furniture if you have one. On the off chance your kitten is a rebel, get a squirt gun. I have found this works wonderfully.
5) You will need to have a brush and comb. Your kitten does not require daily grooming, once a week is fine. This will only take a few minutes.
6) Water and food bowls. Something they can't turn over, because they will try.
7) For the first day or so your kitten should be confined to one or two rooms. One of these rooms must be where the cat box will be kept. This will help him / her remember where the cat box is.
8) Most importantly, these babies have been well loved. I hope they are taken into your heart as well as your home.
